Ryan Cobb studied Biology at the University of Missouri, where he gained a great appreciation for science and the natural world. Afterwards, he worked in multiple microbiology labs, where he learned many of the practical aspects of the scientific method. He has been an avid reader and watcher of Science Fiction his whole life, and he constantly struggles with the organization of his movies.

He loves thinking about time travel, physics, space, the paranormal, and conspiracy theories (applying a healthy dose of skepticism to the last two). He has too many collections, and plays video games in his free time. He has never successfully learned to play the guitar.

He's loved Dinosaurs and prehistoric life since he was young, so in 2012, he traveled to the Hell’s Creek region of South Dakota, where he volunteered with the Marmarth Research Foundation on a fossil dig. Seeing these creatures' bones first-hand only strengthened his connection with them. The Wild Shores of Pangea is his first novel.
